Company:

Our client, is a rapidly-growing, entrepreneurial real estate developer and owner with 6 million square feet of assets under management to include office, retail and some multifamily.  Headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, they have expanded in recent years to New York City and Philadelphia.  The company has a strong development pipeline and anticipates continued growth and expansion locally and nationally in the coming years.  As a nimble investor and fast growing company the organization is driven towards process improvement and establishing standard operating procedures.  The company believes in flexibility and providing strong work life balance (average 40-45 hours per week) and a fun environment which they’ve been able to maintain though the tremendous growth.

Position:

Reporting to the Controller, this person will oversee a portfolio of 2 to 2.5 million square feet and will spend the majority of their time managing and reviewing the reporting packages and work papers of two to three property accountants. This is a new created role, due to some recent acquisitions. As an entrepreneurial company, this person will regularly interact with the CEO, CFO, and other executives in the company.

Candidate:     

• 5-10 years of experience. Real Estate experience required.
• CPA required.
• Pubic accounting experience preferred.
